Arsene Wenger has hailed midfielder Mesut Ozil for playing an integral role in the club’s 3-2 win over Ludogorets in the Champions League.
Arsenal have managed to qualify for the last 16 of the competition as a result of this victory. They will now be appearing in the knockout stages for a 17th consecutive campaign. Manager Arsene Wenger deserve a lot of credit for achieving this record even during difficult times. Right now, though, Arsenal have a number of superstars in their squad with Ozil being one of them. The German managed to come up with a late winner to help Arsenal return home with all three points.
There was a danger of Arsenal dropping two crucial points as the game was 2-2 going into the last few moments. It would not have been the end of the world for Arsenal given that there are still two more games left in the group stages, but it would have put them in a panicking mode going into the last two games.
