Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Alexandre Lacazette

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Alexandre Lacazette, who was one of the top players in the French league last season.

The Lyon forward finished the campaign with 27 goals, which put him above the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani in terms of the top goal scorers. This impressive campaign has led to enormous transfer interest surrounding the player. At just 24 years of age, he is at a perfect time to complete a move to a big club. Even though Lyon appeared to be in contention for the league title for much of the campaign, they will struggle without a player likeLacazette.

Since Olivier Giroud is still seen as the only main striker at Arsenal capable of scoring goals regularly, the club would want to strengthen his position with another striker to compliment him.Lacazette appears to be the perfect fit for this position, but Lyon are not ready to sell him right now. In fact, the club president has gone on record to say that they are ready to extend his contract and offer him around € 4 million per year. These are impressive wages for a club that has not been in the hunt for top prizes over the last five years. Continue reading “Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Alexandre Lacazette”

Cristiano Ronaldo has been getting absolutely crucified

Cristiano Ronaldo has been getting absolutely crucified everywhere for celebrating his birthday.

Yes, you read that right, only for celebrating his birthday.

The pundits reckon that it was not a great gesture by Ronaldo to go ahead with his birthday bash just hours after Real Madrid’s thumping at the hands of their local rivals Atletico in the Spanish top flight.

The Los Blancos fans are not too amused either. They have started questioning the professionalism of the Portuguese player.

Some fans were saying on Twitter the other day that Ronaldo had not remained as passionate for his club as he used to be when he had first arrived at Bernabeu.

These things must be hurting Ronaldo a lot because he has always played his heart out for Madrid.

Ronaldo’s national team boss Fernando Santos though has come out batting for the player.

According to Santos, the talismanic striker does not deserve so much of criticism. It’s not that he had planned that party after the defeat. It had already been planned a few days ago and to cancel that at the very last moment would not have been appropriate.

Santos is also hopeful that Ronaldo would let his performance do all the talking and would take all his frustrations out by scoring a lot of goals in the coming games. Continue reading “Cristiano Ronaldo has been getting absolutely crucified”

Arsene Wenger may get Arsenal in January Transfer

Arsenal may be forced to step into the transfer market in January after Arsene Wenger witnessed yet another major injury trouble for one of his defenders after the match against Stoke City.

The gunners managed a positive 3-0 victory, but this return of three points was not without its disadvantages. Mathieu Debuchy, who was signed in the summer from Newcastle for around £ 10 million, was expected to be a major player for Arsenal. He was the replacement for Bacary Sagna, who left the club on a free transfer to Manchester City. Continue reading “Arsene Wenger may get Arsenal in January Transfer”

Danny Welbeck soon will be leaving MU

Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck says that he had been considering Manchester United exit for a long time. The 23-year-old joined the gunners in the summer for a transfer fee of £ 16 million. The North London outfit believe that they have secured the player for a relatively low sum of money given that he is an England international and one who is just entering into the best years of his career. Welbeck, though, has divided opinion due to his poor goal scoring record. He will be coming up against United this weekend for the first time since leaving the club.

United manager Louis Van Gaal gave an honest assessment after selling Welbeck that his goal return was not enough to keep him at a club like Manchester United. Welbeck has responded to those allegations by saying that he would have done well if he had been played as a striker on a consistent basis. Instead, the versatility of the 23-year-old was utilised to the maximum after he found himself playing on the left wing more often than not. Welbeck has been in decent goal scoring form for club and country this campaign. He recently scored a brace for England in the Euro 2016 qualifiers.

He says that the lack of consistent first-team football means him consider United exit a year ago.“When you’ve been somewhere for so long and then you’re going to start a new chapter in your career, you’ve got to think about it a lot. Over the past year or so, I started to think about what’s best for me.At the time I was playing on the left wing a lot and in a 4–4-2, which is very difficult for me because I can’t make an impact on the game,” said the former United striker.
