Arsene Wenger is optimistic about the future of Arsenal despite whatever happens at the end of the season. Arsenal has not been able to secure a trophy since 2005 but things can change for the Premier League club when they face off against Hull City on May 17.

After dropping points and getting a series of negative results, Arsenal lost their pace for the league title and will now have to settle for the FA Cup. Lately Wenger has been under excruciating pressure and more criticism than usual as the fans of the club want them to lift a trophy as it has not happened in a long time.

Wenger recently took charge of his 1,000th Arsenal match but his future remains in doubt according to the belgie rusland odds website, and it may be decided depending on the outcome of the FA Cup finals as it will be their last chance of securing a trophy in this season.

“I am not in the best position to judge my own work publicly. I just promise you one thing; I always sit down and try to be as honest as I can be with myself. The only thing I can say is that I put total commitment in from the first until the last day of the season and I will.” Wenger said.

The Scottish coach continued on talking about a few details of the squad and some of the main reasons why their charge at the top of the Premier League lost its pace as he considers that injury was a huge blow for him and his players.

However, Wenger said: “I think we have moved a lot forward, considering what happened to us with a number of injuries we had in a crucial period of the season. We were 17 or 18 times top of the league, that did not happen last year, we are in the FA Cup final, we went out only against Bayern Munich in the Champions League with 10 men and we had come out of a very difficult Champions League group’’. Wenger added on as he talked in a press conference.

If Wenger indeed does remain in charge of Arsenal for the upcoming season, he will have a busy transfer window with a list of players that will be leaving as well as some others which Wenger wants to sign.
